Welding School
GÖK GRUP, which established the Gök Rail brand in 2008, invested in Sivas and started railway vehicle and equipment production activities. Gök Rail, which has achieved various successes and many firsts in the past 16 years, has shown the welding quality level, which is important in our country and the world, with the wagons it exports to Europe.
This success principle ensures that Gök Rail works with qualified personnel and continuously develops them within the scope of the annual and monthly training program.
Our priority is the continuous development and training of our welders in new welding technologies for different types of materials. In this context, to pass the welding profession on to new generations and increase employment, we established the GÖK Welding School in 2022. We provide employment opportunities and welding training to individuals selected through specific tests, offering them the chance to work within our company.
Our school is fully equipped with modern new welding stations, featuring fume extraction systems and state-of-the-art welding equipment. As a result, both our employees and students benefit from and enjoy the modern conditions of theoretical and practical training.
At Gök Rail Welding School, basic training can be completed in just a few weeks, after which the welder can begin working. Successful potential students must be highly detail-oriented and skilled at building things with their hands. Welding is one of the few trades where skilled craftsmen can earn a highly respectable living. Job opportunities for welders are available worldwide, with opportunities in dozens of industries, ranging from aviation and railways to shipbuilding and pipeline construction.
While introductory programs covering basic techniques can be completed in just a few weeks, comprehensive programs take 4 to 9 months. In the welding field, practical welders can also enter the field as apprentices and learn on the job. Apprentice welders will be evaluated for a 6-month period before gaining enough experience to earn full certification. Once they reach the desired level, they will receive an internationally recognized certificate in accordance with the EN 9606-1 standard.
